ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Samanwaya Sarkar

Samanwaya, initially trained by Pandit Sasanka Bandopadhyaya and Pandit Manilal Nag, furthered his sitar skills under Pandit Shyamal Chatterjee and Pandit Kumar Prasad Mukherji. A Gandabandh disciple of Padma Vibhushan Girija Devi, he collaborates with Debapriya Adhikary and co-directed the award-winning film 'Girija: A Lifetime In Music' in 2018, capturing the essence of their revered guru's musical journey.
